Super Sprint 27 July 2024

Super Sprint distance is suitable for all levels of athletes from newbies looking to finish their first triathlon to experienced athletes who seek the burn of lactic acid. 300m swim, 10km cycling, and 2,5 km run. Super Sprint has 2 start groups: 1) Elite (competing for the win of the race) and 2) age-groups.  Drafting is allowed in all classes so TT-bikes are not allowed. For elite athletes Super Sprint is part of the National Finnish Cup.

Challenge yourself and come to experience the stunning and unique city race in Turku, Finland!

The race venue will provide a wonderful setting for racers as well as supports and the public. The swim start will be close by the historic Sail Ship “The Swan of Finland” where the swimming route will run towards the lower end of the river Aura.  The cycling will move through neighbouring regions of the Castle of Turku in 4 laps before returning to the race center.  The finale of 2,5 km running will give viewers a front row seat, as the athletes run along banks of the river Aura in 2,5 loops.  A truly exceptional course for both the athlete and the viewer!

Three disciplines of sport combine to one unique challenge that keeps the athletes coming back year after year.  Starting triathlon does not require large financial investments and is easily accessible.  Super Sprint distance – swimming 300m, cycling 10km and running 2,5 km – is easily achievable by all who commit to a regular program of training but does not require excessive time.  It is the perfect distance for an introduction to triathlon or for experienced athletes looking to push their speed to new levels
